We just returned from taking Max to get his very first haircut! He’s not even a year old yet, but his long locks were already over due for a trim so we took him right down the street to Floyd’s 99 Barbershop in Willow Grove.
He was a champ in the chair and didn’t even cry once.
Liz & Matt were married this past Saturday at The Union League of Philadelphia. This is just one photo of many, many more to come. Congratulations to the newlyweds, Liz & Matt!

Jen, Jerry and I met up in Hamilton, NJ for their engagement session at the Grounds for Sculpture last week. These are some of my favorite moments from the afternoon we spent together. Awilda & Joe will be getting married this summer with a very intimate celebration at Trap Rock Brewery in Berkeley Heights, New Jersey. My friend, former wedding client and one of Philly’s favorite Pastor’s, Andy Mahaney will be the man in charge of Awilda & Joe’s nuptials too!
Joe, Awilda and I met (for the first time face to face) in New Hope, PA for their engagement session just last week. We wandered the streets and back alleys of New Hope taking pictures, talking about the plan for the wedding day this summer and joking around…..a lot. It was really a fun time and I had a blast with these two that evening. Awilda & Joe, the wedding day is gonna be great! I’m very much looking forward to seeing you guys again this summer. Last week I volunteered to photograph the first ever Sew in Love event held in the Millennium Ballroom at the Loews Philadelphia Hotel hosted by Philadelphia Wedding Magazine. Students from five of Philadelphia’s top design schools including Drexel University, The University of Delaware, Philadelphia University, Philadelphia Art Institute and Moore College of Design were asked to design and create original wedding gowns to be modeled and judged by a panel of industry experts on the evening of the event. The wining student designer won the opportunity to design an evening wear line for Bridals by Danielle.
The skill and talent shown by the young design students who created these gorgeous wedding dresses was very impressive. Each of these gowns was a complete original design. I am always impressed with something thought up, created and executed completely from scratch! As if this event wasn’t impressive enough, Philadelphia Wedding Magazine also donated half of the proceeds to Wish Upon a Wedding Philadelphia!
A couple of the other wedding professionals who offered their talents and volunteered at the Sew in Love event were Ilonka and Margaux from Mille Fleurs who donated the bouquets for the models and Dana Persia of Beautiful Brides Philly who made up all of the lovely ladies. Thanks to Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, The Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Mark Kingsdorf of The Queen of Hearts and most importantly to all of the design students who made this event so unique. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful and different event.

Which designer and dress won? They all look amazing. You know me I am always excited to see Drexel Students work……..
