The Arts Ballroom wedding photos | Rita & Chris

Rita & Chris had a very Philadelphia wedding this past October with a super unique ceremony in Society Hill at Head House Square and (I believe) the very first wedding reception at one of the city’s newest venues, The Arts Ballroom. Rita and Chris came to me through their wonderful wedding planner Christina Hill of Chill Weddings. Christina, Rita and I immediately clicked during our initial meeting and I knew this wedding would be so much fun to be a part of. Rita started the day with preparations at the same hotel where Dawn and I got ready on our wedding day, The Sheraton Society Hill. Christina had helped Rita choose some of Philadelphia’s top wedding pros to make the day perfect. Nina of Cheekadee Makeup Artists was on hand to doll up all the bridesmaids in the morning, Tanti Lina of Papertini designed not only Rita’s bouquet and all of the boutonnieres but she designed all of the ceremony and reception decor! Our crew from First Floor Films was working side by side with Karlo and I capturing all of the day’s events. Matt from Synergetic Sound and Lighting was the perfect DJ fit for Rita, Chris and all of their rowdy friends. The dance floor was packed all night long and I don’t think there was a dry (non-sweaty) shirt in the house by the end of the night. That’s what you want out of your wedding DJ, folks!

Rita & Chris, you guys were such a joy to be around on your wedding day. Karlo and I couldn’t have felt more welcomed by all of your family and friends. Your ceremony was beautiful and so original and the reception was one of the craziest parties of the year! Congratulations to you both. All the best for a wonderful future together!

All of Rita’s friends surrounded and sang to her during the last song of the night. It was really something special to see……as you can tell Rita got a little emotional.

Philadelphia Super-8 wedding film | Beth & Nick at TRUST

Beth & Nick’s wedding this past October in Old City Philadelphia was a day full of elegant style mixed with a classic “old Hollywood” feel to the reception at TRUST with just a sprinkle of historic relevance (the cocktail hour was held in Betsy Ross’s front yard after all). What does this all add up to besides an unforgettable wedding day? The perfect environment for a vintage film camera to capture everything on old school, Super-8 film!

No wedding day is complete without some form of moving picture to help tell the story of the wedding with all of the memorable events and gathering of family and friends which can many times happen once in a lifetime. And in my opinion, there is no more timeless and artistic way to tell the story of your wedding day than with a movie shot on Super-8 film. This is just a brief clip of Beth & Nick’s wedding day film highlighting the events from the preparations at The Ritz Carlton, to the ceremony at St. John the Evangelist, photos in Old City Philadelphia and wedding reception entrance for the record books! Beth & Nick | Trust Gallery Wedding Photos

October 1 of 2011 fell on a gorgeous autumn day here in Philadelphia. Beth & Nick were celebrating their wedding day with a ceremony at St. John the Evangelist in Center City followed by a reception in Old City at TRUST. I was happy to have Vida Carson join me again for the day and while she started at Le Meridian with Nick and the guys I met up with Beth and the ladies as they prepared for the day at The Ritz Carlton. After the ceremony we headed to old city for wedding party photos before making our way back to TRUST for the cocktail hour next door in the courtyard of Betsy Ross’ house.
Beth & Nick’s reception was one for the record books. Jellyroll had this crowd hopping from the very first note and the party just got crazier and crazier with props from the photo booth making their way onto the dance floor as Beth, Nick and all of their family and friends brought the house down.
Beth & Nick, I really can’t thank you both enough for allowing me to share in your wedding day. Beth you were such a gorgeous bride and Nick, the white dinner jacket was one of my favorite accessories all year! Congratulations you guys. Enjoy your photos.

Cescaphe Ballroom Wedding | Janine & Andrew

Janine & Andrew had a classic Philadelphia wedding this fall. Their wedding day fell on one of those perfect warm autumn days which made for a beautiful backdrop in Old City. Vida and I started off at the Sheraton Society Hill where Janine and Andrew were getting ready for their big day. After everyone was dressed and ready we headed out into the streets of Old City for Janine & Andrew’s first meet followed by some wedding party photos before heading to Old St. Joseph’s Church and the wedding ceremony. Cescaphe Ballroom in Northern Liberties was the site of the wedding reception where the Don Eaton Band kept up a raucous party.

Janne & Andrew along with their wedding planner Kelsey Gilland of A Little Soireé put together an amazing day which was a joy to be a part of and very fun to photograph. Some of the other wedding professionals who helped make Janine & Andrew’s day unforgettable were Jill Perocca who made all the ladies’ heads look top notch with her hair styling, Kristen Stengel who took care of the makeup and Il Fiore Bianco who did an incredible job with all of the floral arrangements.

Congratulations once again to you Janine & Andrew. It was such an honor to share in your wedding day with you and your families. Your day couldn’t have turned out any better. All the best to you both for a wonderful marriage and a happy life together.

Beth & Nick were married at the very beginning of October. Their full blog post is soon to come. But this stuff from their photo booth at TRUST was simply too good not to share early! As crazy as some of these photos are it is still just a small representation of how much fun Beth & Nick’s wedding reception was. Curtis Center Wedding Photos | Angela & Sean

Angela & Sean’s wedding day was filled with so much love from family and friends from beginning to end….it was truly my pleasure to be a apart of their celebration. From the very first moment Michael Leslie and I arrived, the Marinis made us fell as though we were a special extension of their family for the day. Also along for the day was my good friend and one of Philly’s top wedding planners, Erin of Proud to Plan. Angela & Sean’s ceremony was right down the street from Angela’s family home at Holy Rosary Church in Claymont Delaware. After the wedding ceremony we all headed into Philadelphia for the reception at The Atrium at The Curtis Center where Bigg Romeo took over the entertainment duties and kept everyone dancing well into the night. It was also a pleasure to be shooting alongside the crew from Video One. I’m sure they put together something special for Angela & Sean.Congratulations again Angela & Sean. One of my favorite shots that Michael captured that afternoon.The event space in The Atrium at the Curtis Center run by the folks at Cescaphe is truly spectacular. It’s definitely one of the most impressive reception venues in Philadelphia.

I’m very excited to finally share the news that Casey & Will’s Colonial Dames wedding is featured on Style Me Pretty’s “Little Black Book” blog today!
Thank you to Casey & Will again for having me share in their wonderful celebration and a huge thank you to Erin Proud of Proud to plan for putting the whole affair together. Erin brought some of the best wedding pros in Philadelphia together for Casey & Will’s wedding day from Emliy at Cheekadee Makeup to Michelle from Daneene Makeup doing the girls’ hair, Honeybunches Floral, Day by Day Catering (who provided mouthwatering fried chicken as one of the main courses) Anna Violet Confections who put together an incredible cake and Synergetic Sounds handling the music and dancing.

Loews Philadelphia Hotel | Kathleen & Matt

Kathleen & Matt were married just about 2 weeks ago, early on a Saturday morning at Old St. Jospeh’s Church in Old City Philadelphia. It was a beautiful, cloudless summer day…..perfect wedding weather. An early morning wedding ceremony naturally lends itself to an early afternoon wedding reception. Kathleen & Matt held their wedding “brunch” reception in The Millennium Ballroom of the Loews Philadelphia Hotel. Their guests dined on an assortment of breakfast and brunch food while one of my favorite Philadelphia bands, The Slippery Band played on throughout the afternoon.

Jackie & Matt have made an appearance on this blog before. I shot some engagement photos for them at The Philadelphia Museum of Art back in March. They were also just recently married in South Carolina.
