San Francisco Trip – Thanksgiving 2011

Just before Thanksgiving Dawn, Max, Gammy and I took off for a vacation in San Francisco. Jay & Amy were heading out of the country for a bit and needed some cat sitters for their babies Monte and Dracula.

This was my home on and off between 1997 and 2006 so I always enjoy getting back there to see friends and spend time in and around the Bay Area.

I recently did a newborn photo session and when I came home I was inspired to take some photos of our own little guy, Max. He’s almost 7 months old now and just (like 2 minutes ago) started crawling. Well it was more like scooting…..and it was backwards. But the boy is now mobile! Our cats better start running….at least Pomes might loose some weight.

Cindy & Tom | Engagement Polaroids

Last night I met up with Cindy and Tom at their home for their engagement photo shoot. We took lots and lots of digital photos…..some of which will be posted here shortly. But I also snapped these two Polaroids of Cindy & Tom on their porch. Instant photography at it’s best. Shot, develop in hand, scan and here you go.

A bachelorette Party for Kate Middleton

Last Thursday I photographed a party. It was a bachelorette party……for Kate Middleton. Yes, just a few hours before the royal wedding took place in London some of America’s loveliest ladies were throwing the Duchess of Cambridge a party.

I am photographing Kristin’s wedding later this year at The Flourtown Country Club. When Kristin posted on Facebook that her mom was attending a bachelorette party for Kate Middleton, I knew I had to be there! These are some of the many, many photos we took that evening. It was a lot of fun and I thank all of you ladies for allowing me to have a small part in the royal wedding festivities of last week!

Dawn and I are (soon to be) proud parents. But for a while now we’ve been proud parents to our kitties Pomey & Bella. And last year we adopted Frances into our clan. Working at home all day I have a lot of time to bond with our furry little ones and I of course take lots and lots of pictures of them. This is my first attempt (I think Ever) of making a crafty little home project.

I present to you…….Kitty Cat Wall Art. Three photos of our cats mounted on 5×5 wooden blocks. I found the blocks on Etsy, stained them at home and spray mounted the photos to the blocks. Now we have custom kitty related artwork hanging in our kitchen. Yay us! What’s next you ask? Why, kitty cat onesies for the baby of course.

It’s time for a personal blog post. Today’s installation brings you a bunch of my instax mini prints! My family and friends know that I can’t leave the house without at least 3-5 cameras on me at all times. Often times I have a lomo in my right pocket, a Holga in my left pocket, Diana in Dawn’s purse, an iphone in my pant packet and the Fuji Instax mini in my hand. Who knows what kind of camera may be called for at any particular moment? Best to be prepared so say the Boy Scouts……at least I think it goes something like that. The Instax Mini is like a modern day Polaroid camera. It looks like kinda like a robot and it prints credit card sized instant photos which develop right in your hand. The following strip of photos are scans of some of my favorite instant pics from the past year. Enjoy!

2 minute Christmas Tree decorating

Dawn and I got our Christmas tree this past Sunday. This is a movie made of almost 2,000 stills shot during the tree decorating. The video is actually a pretty incriminating display of my lack of help with the majority of the decorating. Dawn’s just better at the lights than I am. Enjoy!

I was playing around with a new umbrella and flash while Dawn and I were at my parents’ house. These were just a few of the several hundred images we shot that evening.

Easter Brunch at Hotel Hershey and a birthday party at Gammy’s

Easter brunch at The Hotel Hershey has been a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember. We look forward to it weeks ahead of time. So much good food, desserts and well, you get the idea. This year Easter happened to fall on Dawn’s sister’s birthday as well. So after our annual trip to Hershey for brunch, we celebrated with Gina & Anthony at Gammy’s house. And….today is Anthony’s actual birthday. Since we sort of celebrated Gina & Anthonys birthday together on Sunday, Anthony get’s the official birthday shout-out today. Happy Birthday Anthony!As is the norm when I shoot video of my family I get lots annoyed looks and hands up in the camera. This year’s Easter video of course does not break with that tradition!
