Allison and I graduated together from Syracuse University many moons ago. She and I hadn’t seen each other since said graduation. Allison now lives in Florida but was planning on being home in PA for a few days with her daughter Sutton. So, while she was visiting her family we scheduled a family portrait shoot (luckily) on a perfect spring afternoon. Allison’s parents and her nieces joined us as we spent the gorgeous afternoon at The Reading Public Museum walking, talking and picture taking all through the Arboretum. Thanks for inviting me out Allison. It was great seeing you again and an absolute pleasure meeting your family. Maybe next time Sean can join us too!

This one would normally be an outtake. But I loved the younger girls’ expressions too much not to include it!

Ann Marie is a good friend of ours and she also shoots wedding videos with us! Her daughter turned one recently and as a birthday gift (well more of a gift to mamma & poppa I guess) I spent the afternoon photographing Ann Marie’s beautiful family.
This is Seanie’s 2nd appearance on the 217 Photography blog as well. I photographed little Sean almost two years ago when he was just a little dude. Thanks for having me Ann Marie. Your family is beautiful and I am happy and privileged to be able to document their childhood.

Almost four years ago I had the pleasure of being the videographer for Barb & Mark on their wedding day. They had a beautiful late November wedding at The Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Center City Philadelphia with a reception at the Cescaphe Ballroom in Northern Liberties. Barb & Mark called me a few weeks ago to photograph their family while they were all in town over the Christmas weekend. With video editing I get to feel as though I know each person in the wedding video very well having seen them over and over and over some more during the course of the edit. So, meeting up with Barb, Mark (who, by the way are expecting) and their family was like getting together with good friends…..not to mention the fact that Barb, Mark and I totally hit it off right from our first meeting over three years ago. You guys are the best! Thank you for thinking of me for your family portraits. It was absolutely my pleasure to see everyone again and spend the afternoon with you all. And Mark you definitely do make some top notch nog!

Willow Grove Newborn Photography

Samuel is new around here. He was born just before Christmas. Sam’s mom Kate is actually our son Max’s pediatrician. She has been so kind and helpful towards Dawn and I as we learn the ropes of being new parents. From our very first visit to her office several months ago Kate, set Dawn and I at ease and made us feel very comfortable. We are lucky to have found such a caring and patient doctor to look after our little guy and to take the time to answer any and all of our “new parent” questions.

One recent morning I photographed Kate and her husband Randy’s new (and adorable) baby boy Samuel along with his big sister who was super excited to have her photo taken. These are a few of my favorite images from that shoot. Welcome to the world Samuel!

Ocean City Family Photos | Gettin’ Beachy With It

My good friend Mike and his wife Jenn asked me to meet them on the boardwalk in Ocean City, NJ the other week for a family portrait session. So Dawn and I packed up the baby (and all that accompanies a newborn) and we headed down the shore for a couple of days. First stop……Ocean City. Mike, his brother Ed, Dawn and I all went to high school together and it had been a while since we had seen each other. After we said hello and told each other how young we all looked etc. etc. it was on to the photos for Mike and Ed and their families on the beach. Thanks for giving us an excuse to head down the shore guys. It was great seeing you all. The kids are adorable. Enjoy these photos!

Ambler Engagement Photos | Kristin & Anthony……and Jack

Kristin & Anthony are holding their wedding celebration this coming November at the Flourtown Country Club. Although we just met for their engagement photos the other week, they have both been on this blog before. Kristin graced these pages as a guest at a bachelorette party for Kate Middleton and Anthony was a groomsman at Melissa & Ed’s wedding at the Talamore Country Club last September.

Kristin’s son Jack joined us for the first half of the shoot in Ambler. He was a total pro in front of the camera and I think we came away with some great family shots for Kristin, Anthony and Jack. Enjoy these pics guys. See you all again in November.

Ellie, Leah & Evan | Family Photos

My good friends Leah, Evan and their daughter Ellie are visiting the East Coast this week. I met them on Wednesday in Baltimore for a visit and to take some photos as I had not yet met Ellie. Great seeing you guys! Ellie is beautiful and she is such a happy little girl.

Senior Portraits | Jessica

Jessica is a senior in high school. She is also my brother in-law’s niece as well as a super cool and fun girl. We met for a senior portrait session the other week. Being that there was family involved, the senior portrait session turned into a family photo shoot which somehow turned into a Gina & Tammy in pink feather boas shoot by sunset. Hmmmm…….I wonder how that happened?

Jessica, Tammy, Nick & Georgie, I had a lot of fun with you all. Thank you for having me out with you the other week. Good luck in your senior year Jessica. You are a beautiful girl…….just look at the photos below as evidence of that!

Marisa was the only one that climbed a tree in a dress that day.

Ann Marie, Sean and mini-Sean

Ann Marie & Dawn work together as 8th grade reading teachers at a local middle school. So, when Ann Marie and her husband Sean were thinking of having some photos done of their young family they didn’t really have too far to look. I was happy that they asked me to come to their home and photograph baby Sean shortly after his first birthday. We spent a couple of hours together shooting in and around their home on a gorgeous spring evening. It was great to hang with Ann Marie and both Seans (big & miniature). Thanks for having me guys. I think this was Sean’s reaction to an airplane passing overhead.

Dawn pointed out how Sean and Sean Jr. have the EXACT same expression in this photos. Ha! They do!

I normally don’t ask anyone to get naked on their shoot. But little Sean seemed like he would be cool with it. So off came the clothes.

And then we finished the evening off with a wagon ride up and down the street.

This one is my personal favorite of the day.
