Jessica is a senior in high school. She is also my brother in-law’s niece as well as a super cool and fun girl. We met for a senior portrait session the other week. Being that there was family involved, the senior portrait session turned into a family photo shoot which somehow turned into a Gina & Tammy in pink feather boas shoot by sunset. Hmmmm…….I wonder how that happened?

Jessica, Tammy, Nick & Georgie, I had a lot of fun with you all. Thank you for having me out with you the other week. Good luck in your senior year Jessica. You are a beautiful girl…….just look at the photos below as evidence of that!

Marisa was the only one that climbed a tree in a dress that day.

Ann Marie, Sean and mini-Sean

Ann Marie & Dawn work together as 8th grade reading teachers at a local middle school. So, when Ann Marie and her husband Sean were thinking of having some photos done of their young family they didn’t really have too far to look. I was happy that they asked me to come to their home and photograph baby Sean shortly after his first birthday. We spent a couple of hours together shooting in and around their home on a gorgeous spring evening. It was great to hang with Ann Marie and both Seans (big & miniature). Thanks for having me guys. Dawn pointed out how Sean and Sean Jr. have the EXACT same expression in this photos. Ha! They do!

I normally don’t ask anyone to get naked on their shoot. But little Sean seemed like he would be cool with it. So off came the clothes.

And then we finished the evening off with a wagon ride up and down the street.

This one is my personal favorite of the day.

Katie + Brian + Kennedy | Philadelphia Museum of Art

Instead of a straight up engagement shoot, Katie & Brian wanted to include their beautiful daughter Kennedy in their engagement session at The Philadelphia Museum of Art the other week. Kennedy kinda stole the show with cuteness. She was BY FAR the most well behaved and pleasant baby that I have ever been around. She was completely happy and relaxed for the entire shoot. With Kennedy willing to play along with any of our ideas, we were able to capture some great family portraits for Katie & Brian’s young family. Enjoy the photos guys.

Kennedy almost made it all the way up the “Rocky” stairs on her own.

After working the camera for a while, Kennedy took a break so that I could spend some time focusing on Mommy and Daddy.

Clouds started to roll in near the end of our shoot. But Kennedy was well prepared for any sort of weather with her stylish little hoodie.

So, I have been shooting, shooting and shooting lately. All this time out in the fresh air and sunshine is keeping me far away from my computer….which is good. But that means that with all of the shooting as of late, the editing has been getting backed up. Adding to that is the fact that I will be out of town for the next several days. So, before I leave, I wanted to post a few quick “sneak peeks” of some of what’s soon to come. I hope you enjoy these recent images. Bucks County Community College Engagement | Lindsay & Jeff

In….oh…just about 5 days Lindsay and Jeff will be married. Yup, that is this coming Friday! We met last week for their engagement photos at Bucks County Community College. Jeff’s son Nate came along for the shoot too. So, we sort of turned it into a family/engagement session. Thanks to Lindsay, Jeff and Nate. I will see you all in just a few more days for the wedding!

Roviellos, Richardsons & Famas!

This past weekend I was invited over to the home of Rick & Christine to photograph their family and grandson William. Rick & Christine’s daughter Cara had contacted me to shoot this family portrait session as a gift for her parents’ 60th birthday. In fact on Saturday, the day of the shoot, it actually WAS Christine’s birthday! What better way to spend a birthday than with all of your family hanging out, relaxing, spending time together and in the case of the Roviellos….cooking and eating! Thank you to Cara for having me out for the day. And thank you so much to the Roviellos, the Richardsons and the Famas for making my job so easy and enjoyable. I had a lot of fun with you all. Thank you for inviting me into your home and making me feel so welcome. I hope you enjoy these photos!

The birthday girl.

I had the privileged to document the making of a Roviello family traditional recipe for “Veal Birds”. Surprisingly there was lots of veal but no bird involved in the dish. I can actually almost taste these delicious treats when I look at this photo. So good!

The next item on the menu was Oregenata. Here Cara and her sister Tina are rolling out the dough for the Oregenata.

6 month old William soon took over the focus of the afternoon with his antics.

Avery’s 1st Birthday Photos!

Avery is 1! And what better to celebrate the milestones of life than with a portrait session? After all, I was there when Avery was just 2 weeks old, so why not be a part of her 52nd week on the planet as well?Avery’s parents Jess & Andrew (good friends of ours as well) invited me over this past weekend for some portraits to celebrate Avery’s first birthday. The adults had a chance to catch up, Avery got a new dress from Dawn and I and best of all, nobody cried! Happy birthday Avery. Congratulations. Let’s do it again next year, shall we?

Bob’s Surprise 70′th Birthday Party at Maggiano’s

This past Saturday I was asked by my good friend and fellow Philadelphia wedding photographer, Jenn Childress to photograph her grandfather’s surprise 70th birthday party at Maggiano’s in King of Prussia. A few of our favorite wedding pro’s also provided some of their services for Bob’s party. Leslie at Whimsical Welcomes provided the beautiful center pieces for all of the tables. Erin Proud of Proud to Plan created the table numbers, place cards and seating chart while Synergetic Sounds not only provided the soundtrack for the day but they also hooked the party up with an LCD for Jenn to display a sideshow during the party. Finishing off the wedding professionals who helped out with the party, was Cakes by Suzy who created an INCREDIBLE telescope birthday cake! The party was a huge success, Bob was surprised and overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from family and friends. Everyone involved with this celebration put together a really special and wonderful event. It was a pleasure for me to be a part of it and to see such love shared between everyone all afternoon. Happy Birthday Bob!

Is it a telescope or is it a cake? Well for a telescope it sure was a delicious cake. Cakes by Suzy knocked it WAAAY outta the park on this one!.

Whitney and Mya (Bob’s great great-granddaughters) gave very heartfelt toasts.

This may be my favorite photo of the day. 6 year old Mya wrote and gave her very own own speech! “I love you so much that I feel like I am going to Ick Splode” is just priceless.

Kristen and I went to high school together a long time ago. Dawn and Kristen played on the same field hockey team back then too. We hadn’t seen each other since then either! Just the other week Kristen and her family secured a beautiful location in Kimberton, PA as the site for their family photos. There was plenty of farmland to use as backdrops and even some goats! I had a pleasure photographing you guys. I hope you and your families enjoy these photos, Kristen. Hi to Mark and the kids.
