Vida Carson, our crew from First Floor Films and I started out with Liz and the ladies at The Inn at The League while the hair and makeup where being finished up before Liz & Matt had their big reveal on the steps of the Union League.  After taking photos on Broad Street and around Center City Philadelphia it was back inside to escape the cold and to get started with the actual wedding ceremony in The Grant Room presided over by Naila from Journey’s of the Heart.  After the ceremony and cocktail hour the party moved into Lincoln Hall where the Sid Miller Dance Band was waiting to play into the night and get the crowd of 200+ up and out of their seats!
Liz & Matt’s wedding day really was something special.  It was fun, emotional and in the end a huge celebration of the newlyweds!  Thanks also to wedding planner Gina Sole who made the day go by smoothly and without a hitch.  Thanks Gina.  It was great working with you.

Matt made this video game controller out of an Ipad box.  So very awesome.  Also very awesome was Liz, who played video games the day of her wedding to relax a bit before everything got started.

Thanks also to Vida Carson who joined me to photograph the day and to our girl Ann Marie from First Floor Films who was on hand capturing the entire affair on video.  Brooke & Chris, you guys know we love you both.  And we had a great time meeting both of your families on the wedding day.  All the best in your (brand new) home. And best wishes for a long and happy life together, possibly with FIVE children!

Lyndsay sang a song during the reception, just as she did at her own wedding a couple years ago!

Joe, Awilda and I met (for the first time face to face) in New Hope, PA for their engagement session just last week.  We wandered the streets and back alleys of New Hope taking pictures, talking about the plan for the wedding day this summer and joking around…..a lot.  It was really a fun time and I had a blast with these two that evening.  Awilda & Joe, the wedding day is gonna be great! I’m very much looking forward to seeing you guys again this summer.  Enjoy your photos!

The skill and talent shown by the young design students who created these gorgeous wedding dresses was very impressive. Each of these gowns was a complete original design. I am always impressed with something thought up, created and executed completely from scratch! As if this event wasn’t impressive enough, Philadelphia Wedding Magazine also donated half of the proceeds to Wish Upon a Wedding Philadelphia!

A couple of the other wedding professionals who offered their talents and volunteered at the Sew in Love event were Ilonka and Margaux from Mille Fleurs who donated the bouquets for the models and Dana Persia of Beautiful Brides Philly who made up all of the lovely ladies. Thanks to Philadelphia Wedding Magazine, The Loews Philadelphia Hotel, Mark Kingsdorf of The Queen of Hearts and most importantly to all of the design students who made this event so unique. It was a pleasure to be a part of such a wonderful and different event.
