Terry and Ralph were married just the other week in Bucks County. They held their wedding ceremony in the morning with an afternoon wedding reception at The Northampton Valley Country Club. Terry looked beautiful. Ralph was beaming. The kids were a lot of fun and there was so much love being shared on Terry & Ralph’s wedding day. I was honored to be a part of everything. West Chester Engagement Photos | Catherine & Steve

Catherine & Steve will be getting married in Greneville, Delaware later this fall with a wedding reception at the Greenville Country Club. We met up in West Chester the other week while Catherine & Steve were in the area visiting relatives. It was a gorgeous afternoon but it was also right in the middle of that nasty heat wave we all experienced a few weeks ago. While I was editing these photos I was very impressed with the poise that Catherine and Steve showed. I don’t think that anyone looking at these images could tell by their faces that it was almost 100 degrees that afternoon. Thankfully there are no photos of me, because I guarantee that the heat and the sticky conditions would definitely show on my face…..and possibly even my shirt. Congratulations Catherine & Steve. I look forward to seeing you both again in the much cooler month of November.

We hit this field behind Catherine’s sister’s home at just the right time of day. Beautiful light.

I’m sure there will be A LOT more photos of these guys taken at the wedding.

Casey & Will | Old City Engagement Photos

Casey & Will are getting married next May In Philadelphia. Will is currently a cadet at West Point and as soon as his schooling is over Casey and Will will be married. We met for a late lunch, to talk a bit about their plans for the upcoming wedding at one of my favorite Philadelphia wedding venues, The Colonial Dames House, and of course to shoot some engagement photos.

These two are both huge American history buffs…..well I think Casey claimed that they were more American history nerds than buffs. As a fellow nerd myself (of the camera variety) I loved the idea of hitting a few historical locations on our shoot. First stop? The Betsy Ross House! But they were literally closing the gates for the day as we walked up. No problem. We just sat OUTSIDE of Ms. Ross’s former home.

Casey and Will can tell you if this sign is accurate or not. Just ask them.

A wet willy in Elfreth’s Alley…..the oldest continuously inhabited residential street in the entire U.S of A!

It looks as though Casey and Will were arguing over the authenticity of these flags, or maybe trying to figure out what purpose this building may have served in the later half of the 1770s.

Will proposed to Casey inside Independence Hall this past December. I am pretty sure he did it in the very same room where The Declaration of Independence was signed 234 years ago.

And we finished the evening off with a little game of “Airplane”. Who doesn’t love Airplane?

Erica & Tim’s New Jersey Wedding Photos

Erica & Tim were married at the end of June. They had an all New Jersey wedding as everything was pretty local with Erica getting ready at her parent’s house, the ceremony down the street at St. Joachim Church (the very same church where Erica’s parents were married), wedding party photos on the campus of Princeton University and the reception at the Windsor Ballroom in East Windsor.

We had a beautiful day to celebrate with Erica & Tim. Thank you to Lindsay Musser for assisting me that day. A few of the photos in this post are hers. Thanks for having us Erica & Tim. Congratulations again. Enjoy your photos!

The Best part of this photo? The cane attempt at the garter grab. That was a first for me.

Melissa & Ed’s Old City Engagement Photos

I met Melissa & Ed in Old City a few weeks ago for their engagement photos. Weather was great, company was even better and we finished the evening off with some beers at Melissa & Ed’s favorite bar. I think Ed was mocking Melissa a bit in the first three photos…..which led to the fourth photo.

But we got the shot after Melissa put Ed in his place.

Judy & Matt | Crystal Tea Room wedding photos

Judy & Matt were married at St. Mark’s Church in center city Philadelphia at the beginning of June. They held their reception at the storied Crystal Tea Room in the Wanamaker building right across the street from City Hall. It was a beautiful (if just a wee bit scorching hot) day. We had great weather, nice light, a lovely couple and lots of fun working with Judy, Matt and their family and friends. I was also fortunate enough to have Geoff Horowitz, a fellow Philadelphia Wedding Project photographer, working along side me for Judy & Mat’s day. Several of the images in this post are straight from Geoff’s creative eye.

An amazing cake designed in part by Judy with the help of Nicole from the Short and Sweet Cafe in Wilmington.

Synergetic Sounds and Lighting kept the Crystal Tea Room well lit.

If you look closely, you can see the garter in mid-air right in front of the chandelier.

Plastic Parts laid down the soundtrack for the evening and kept everyone dancing to the wee hours.

Ali & Ford’s Philadelphia engagement Photos

Ali & ford will be holding their wedding later this summer at the Colonial Dames House in Philadelphia. The other week we met up also in Philadelphia (Fairmount Park to be precise) for their engagement shoot. Ali & Ford have lived in and around Philadelphia for some time and they knew the park pretty well. So, they led the route around the park from the Japanese Tea Garden area onto The Belmont Plateau (where everybody go) for a breathtaking view of the Philadelphia skyline. Next we went back to Ali & Ford’s apartment….which is more like an incredible old, beautiful home. You’ll see photos below. They love living in this unique space and both realize that they won’t be able to live here forever, so we took some photos of Ali & ford around thier “current” home. I felt like they could have had this place in a magazine like Dwell. It was just too cool. Thanks so much for spending the evening with me guys. I really enjoyed hanging out in your home. I can’t wait for your wedding at Colonial Dames (one of my favorite venues)!
