Ulrike & Jim were married last Friday in a morning mass at Old St. Jospeh’s Church in Old City Philadelphia. The ceremony was very intamiate with just about 40 of Ulrike & Jim’s friends and family in attendance. Ulrike had many family members in from Germany and the ceremony was performed in both English and German. After the ceremony, Ulrike, Jim and I headed into the cold and windy March morning for their wedding photos in Old City Philadelphia. We would duck into a location take our coats off, shoot for a minute or two, then quickly throw jackets and hats back on and run off to the next location. After about 30 minutes outside we made our way to Audrey Claire restaurant near Rittenhouse Square for the wedding reception luncheon. It was a quick day for me but a very memorable one as well. Glückwünsche an sie beide Ulrike & Jim!

See? Evidence that it was cold and blustery. But we soldiered on!

I like the contrast of this image with the fresh and new flowers against the old deteriorating building. Springtime, new life, a new beginning and so on and so forth….

I think this may be my favorite shot of the morning.

I really liked some of the small details that were laid out at Audrey Claire. Simple and clean looking white against white with little accents of spring colors of purple, yellow and green

And continuing on with my tradition of shooting wedding photos inside bathrooms, I found this great green wall in the small one person bathroom at Audrey Claire. It was just big enough for Ulrike and I to squeeze into for a few bridal portraits.

A champagne toast delivered by Ulrike’s father in English and German.
